Israeli occupation specialists yesterday started bringing down pieces of the steps of the Ibrahimi Mosque in the involved West Bank city of Hebron, Arab48 revealed.

The Palestinian gift serve said this comes in anticipation of introducing a lift to serve the Jewish pilgrims who attack the Islamic site.

Head of Hebron Municipality, Tayseer Abu Sneeneh, approached the global-local area to “right away” move to stop the Israeli animosity alongside numerous different infringements committed by the occupation powers and pilgrims.

Abu Sneeneh said that introducing the electric lift is important for the Israeli practices which focus on the Islamic destinations, noticing that “this is an outrageous infringement against the Palestinian freedoms as well as expectations.”

“This action comes as a component of the Israeli endeavors to change the personality of the Ibrahimi Mosque,” he said.

Israel intends to hold onto the Ibrahimi Mosque in a work that negates worldwide regulations. In 2017, UNESCO incorporated the Ibrahimi Mosque and the Old City of Hebron as a Palestinian legacy locale.

Jews trust the site to be the entombment spot of the scriptural patriarch Joseph. Muslims, nonetheless, challenge this case, saying a Muslim Imam — Sheik Yussef Dawiqat — was covered at the site two centuries prior.

Last month, Israeli occupation specialists shut the Ibrahimi Mosque to Muslim admirers for two days to hold a show on the event of the Jewish Passover occasion.
