Israel shuts Hebron’s Ibrahimi Mosque in the midst of Jewish New Year festivities

The Israeli armed force shut the flashpoint Ibrahimi Mosque in the West Bank city of Hebron to Muslim admirers, Anadolu News Organization reports.

The move comes as Israelis praise the Jewish New Year on Monday.

“The Israeli armed force kept the call for a petition from the Mosque and made it untouchable to Muslim admirers,” Mosque Chief, Ghassan Al-Rajabi told Anadolu Organization.

He said Israeli pioneers, nonetheless, were permitted to celebrate inside the love place.

Adored by the two Muslims and Jews, Hebron’s Ibrahimi Mosque complex is accepted to be the internment site of the Prophets Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

After the 1994 slaughter of 29 Palestinian admirers inside the Mosque by a Jewish fanatic pilgrim, Baruch Goldstein, the Israeli specialists split the Mosque complex among Muslim and Jewish admirers.

UNESCO World Legacy Board chose, in July 2017, to incorporate the Ibrahimi Mosque and the Old City of Hebron on its Reality Legacy Rundown.
