Previous Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine, Sheik Ekrima Sabri, said yesterday that the Israeli occupation permitted Jewish pioneers to strike Al-Aqsa Mosque trying to demonstrate Israel was not crushed in Gaza.

Addressing the media, Sabri said: “Pioneers’ assaults are being done under hefty Israeli military and police security.”

He focused on that these attacks were allowed by the occupation experts to demonstrate they had not been crushed by the Palestinian obstruction in the Gaza Strip.

The sheik censured the Israeli occupation for the conceivable pressure and acceleration that may result from these attacks.

“The constant Israeli strikes of Al-Aqsa Mosque repeat that the Israeli occupation keeps up plans to force its authority over this heavenly site,” which is the third holiest spot for Muslims, Sabri said.
