Yemen’s Iran-adjusted Houthi Movement made another proposal to the United Nations that incorporates the arrival of 200 detainees from every one of the fighting gatherings in Yemen before Muslim’s Eid al-Fitr, Al-Masirah TV said on Sunday, referring to the top of the Houthis’ detainee issues panel, Abdul Qader Al-Murtada, and Reuters reports.

Murtada said the justification behind the new proposition is the deferral in the execution of a detainee trade arrangement, adding the gathering is hanging tight for a reaction from the Saudi-drove alliance, which its expectations will be positive.

Last month, Yemen’s fighting gatherings talked about a potential detainee trade that could see many prisoners liberated, including 16 Saudi nationals and a sibling of the Yemeni previous President, Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, however, no last arrangement had been reached since.

Murtada has said that the arrangement, under the sponsorship of the United Nations, could free 1,400 Houthi detainees, as a trade-off for 823 alliance detainees, including 16 Saudis and three Sudanese detainees.

Recently, the fighting sides in Yemen’s seven-year struggle consented to a cross-country ceasefire without precedent for years, under an UN-facilitated bargain.
